Karl Franklin, a full-time shepherd with 12k Instagram followers, took an unconventional path into agriculture. After leaving school at 16 to pursue a career as a chef, he discovered his passion for farming while managing his own gardening business. Inspired by his love for animals and the outdoors, Karl transitioned into sheep farming, becoming a first-generation farmer. Today, he not only tends to his flock but also volunteers as a Cub leader, sharing his farming expertise with young enthusiasts eager to explore the countryside.
Despite his unique journey, Karl's dedication to sustainable farming practices shines through in his work. Through his business, KF Produce, Gardening, and Catering, he promotes locally sourced produce and educates visitors on sustainable farming.
