Lantra Instructor Case Study - “You never stop learning. Every day is different, and I gain great joy in watching other trainers train "
Christopher Putt is a manically busy man. “The last few months have gone berzerk,” he reports. “Companies had delayed refresher training during Covid and many people in their 20s to 40s re-evaluated their lives during lockdown, changing careers from office-based ones to the outdoors, where they can use their hands.”
Chris not only Instructs for Lantra, but he also is a technical verifier, advising the land-based industries awarding body on how their own instructor network teaches the ins and outs of 4x4 vehicles. Given his deep experience with such kits, he’s amply qualified to train and assess instructors on them.
Lantra Instructor Case Study - “Will Ed be an instructor ‘til the cows come home?”
Ed Willmot speaks in that assured, steady voice that suggests he knows what he's talking about. And he does.
An Instructor since 1970, “my first course was teaching how to milk cows”. Ed is still going strong at 79 and his decades of experience instructing those in agriculture earned him the Long Service award at Lantra's inaugural Instructor Excellence Awards, held at the landbased industries awarding body’s base at Stoneleigh Park in June.
