Head of Farming

Iona Management Service are looking for an experienced individual to manage all farming activities associated with provision of energy crop feed stocks for their portfolio of Anaerobic Digestions plants.

The role is based in Yorkshire, Scotland and Shropshire.  The successful individual will have experience sourcing and negotiating feedstock supply, managing and negotiating contracts, working with farmer and contractors, an understanding of crops, agriculture and logistics.  Industry experience is a benefit, however not essential.  an understanding of budgeting and future planning is essential fro this role, as well as the ability source additional feedstock when required.

The resultant digestate from the AD process is spread on the farmland that supplies the energy crops.  An understanding of the legislation and guidance around farming rules for water, digestate spreading and closed period would be a benefit.  The role is supported by a centralized function and General Managers.
