You’re an accomplished agronomist looking to apply your knowledge through new channels. If you can fulfil the role of technical authority to both colleagues and customers alike, we’d like to talk to you.
An international company who’s products are held in high esteem within the farming community are looking for a Forage Technical Manager to join their well-established team.
With no two days being the same your role will be very diverse. You’ll mentor the regional sales team from a technical agronomic and commercial standpoint, supporting them in achieving sales targets and volumes.
Although homebased, you’ll frequently spend time on farm advising customers. An existing ledger of business would be advantageous.
We’re also interested to talk to aspiring agronomists with a strong technical grounding. Being a household name in agriculture, the potential for career progression is unrivalled.
Key responsibilities
• Provide Local feed team members with technical advice and correct use and application of the range of product offered
• Drive marketing campaigns withing the region
• Represent the forage business on technical matters at team meetings and events
• Have a hands on approach with customers by walking crops, livestock and inspecting forages
• Work with the local feed team to achieve budgeted sales targets
• Offer technical input to maintain and develop new and existing business
Requirements
• Grassland BASIS – Essential
• FACTS – Desirable
• Degree in agriculture or significant experience within a forage role
• Excellent communication skills
• A keen eye for detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Natural sales skills
