Job Details
We have new contract vacancy for an enthusiastic person to join a family farming operation near Bruton, Somerset.
This 1,000-acre farm with 500 cows, predominantly autumn/winter calving, and milked 2 x via two 16:32 DeLaval Herringbone parlours with auto ID, shedding and backing gates.
Nedap heat detection collars just installed to assist fertility.
Cows are housed in modern cubicle sheds with sand bedded mattresses.
The appointed person will need to be ambitious enough to want the same goals as the farmer and work alongside other farm staff and take an interest in herd health.
A competitive package to go along with a 3-bedroom detached house on farm, newly redecorated and with a new kitchen installed, is on offer.
