Principal Examiner T Level (ALMP) - Core Pathway for Land Based Engineering
Would you be interested in supporting the delivery of T-Levels in Agriculture, Land Management and Production (ALMP)?

We are looking for a T Level Principal Examiner to join us in the development and delivery of our first assessment series in 2024 and onwards.

The Associate role gives you the opportunity to work alongside your current job, to build additional income with competitive daily rates, and to continue to develop your own skills and development.

The Task Profile outlines the expectations of the Principal Examiner role, and the Person Specification outlines the experience we’re looking for someone to have as a Principal Examiner.

There are two Core Examination Papers for the Agriculture, Land Management and Production T Level, both have a summer and autumn series. This role is specific to the Core Pathway in Land Based Engineering which consists of a mixture of short answer questions (SAQ), some of which are structured, and extended response questions (ERQ) and covers the following elements within this T level:

Core Pathways (Question Paper 2) in the following pathway:

  • Land Based Engineering

The Employer-set project (ESP) assesses the knowledge and skills learned as part of the core element of the T Level.

The ESP is set and marked by City & Guilds and delivered across a Summer and Autumn series each year.  The project is made up of a number of set tasks which all relate to an Employer-set project brief that is different each series;

  • Research
  • Report
  • Plan
  • Peer reviews
  • Evaluation and presentation

NB: Applications will be reviewed on an on-going basis. Successful applicants for the Principal Examiner positions may be asked to carry out a short task, attend a telephone interview and/or attend training as part of the second stage of recruitment, before being confirmed in role.

When completing your application, it is essential you read the person specification fully, and map your application to show where you meet the requirements set out. If you would like to be considered for one paper in particular, please specify this within your application.

Please note applications that do not demonstrate meeting the person specification may be declined or delayed.  We look forward to receiving your application.

If you are interested in more than one Principal Examiner role, you will need to apply for each one using the link to apply under each role.

We believe that diversity and inclusion strengthen and enriches us, and that it is the responsibility of everyone at the City & Guilds Group to drive this value. We work hard to be inclusive in our approach to recruitment and associate opportunities, whilst still ensuring we meet our regulatory requirements. We strongly encourage and welcome applications from diverse and underrepresented communities.
