Tractor Driver / General Farm Worker

We are looking for a full-time person to carry out general tractor driving tasks on a spring and autumn block calving dairy farm near Shrewsbury in Shropshire. They will be responsible for all the feeding out of silage using a front-end loader and tractor, hedge cutting, mowing, fencing (electric) and general maintenance of the machinery, quad bikes and farm.

The successful candidate will have some experience in these areas, have reasonable workshop skills and be able to work with the rest of the team. No milking would be required with this role, but a good understanding of livestock and particularly youngstock would be an advantage. Start times for the role would typically be around 7am – 8am in the morning.

There is a lovely on-farm 3 bed cottage available with this role, which is free of rent and council tax.
