As a livestock buyer you will be splitting your time between the office and out on farm creating strong relationships with beef producers in the South West area of England. Your communication and organisational skills need to be next level as you will be dealing with the day to day logistics of liaising with farmers and colleagues, scheduling in deliveries, negotiating prices and dealing with essential paperwork. A current knowledge of the beef and sheep production market is an advantage along with previous sales experience.
- Current sales or procurement role-ideally livestock
- From a livestock background (beef and sheep)
- Have a commercial understanding and ability to communicate well with the farming community
- Be computer literate
- Have a logistical/organised mindset
- Be able to keep up accurate record keeping
