Experienced hardworking Herdsperson required to work with an assistant for an organic herd of 240 British Friesians, based on the Gloucestershire / Wiltshire border. We are a 1600 acre mixed Organic estate, comprising two Dairy Herds, a Beef Finishing Unit and an Arable enterprise. We take pride in our high levels of husbandry and work to very high standards with an antibiotic free herd (PWAB), and consistently have good cell count (160) and Bactoscan (10) results.

Cows are milked through a 20/20 herringbone Westfalia parlour equipped with ACRs, ADF milking kit and a Westfalia Dairy Plan computer system. The parlour is due to be upgraded with robots being considered.

This position will suit an ambitious, motivated individual with high standards of dairy hygiene management and individual cow husbandry and welfare.

Two or three bedroom accommodation available close to the dairy and near good schools and facilities.
