As a seasoned agronomist with the right combination of technical expertise and a leadership skillset, you're looking for that rare opportunity to step up into a senior role with a market leading, global brand.

Our client is an internationally renowned manufacturer seeking an experienced agronomist to lead their national team of Regional Agronomy Managers (currently a team of 4 and growing). You will support this team and their network of distributors from a technical standpoint, as well as working closely with internal commercial leads to implement business strategy and support sales.

Core responsibilities:

  • Support the development and effective implementation of the Demand Creation and Regionalisation strategy.
  • Co-ordination with Technical Specialists and Product Managers
  • Champion the independent sector
  • Working closely with National Account Managers to ensure effective implementation of seasonal campaigns to distribution customers
  • Co-ordinate and present spring and autumn technical campaign messages to key distributor & independent agronomists
  • Developing relevant contact plans for the RAM team.
  • Coordinate and prioritise the activities of the RAM's to ensure company targets are understood and fully executed
  • Ensure monthly sales targets are fully available to the RAM team, monitoring progress and proposing and implementing corrective measures as necessary
  • Ensure RAM team technical knowledge is kept up to date
  • Co-ordinate full and effective onboarding, training and development of all new team members
  • Must have a strong management and leadership skillset well equipped at dealing with leading a dynamic and fast paced team

What you will have:

  • A minimum of 7 Years relevant industry experience is preferred
  • Experience of leading a technical function.
  • BASIS qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strategic Thinker - able to understand the complexities of the market and the business.
  • Commercially astute
  • Strong team leadership - able to coach and mentor direct reports.
  • Able to work positively across functions in a collaborative manner to jointly deliver overall business objectives.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Willing to travel and stay overnight
